Rumors: Boise's 2011 opener changing as BYU to open with Mississippi?

Rumors are swirling around the 2011 football openers for BYU and Boise State, and they appear to have legs.  Our source confirms that the athletic directors of BYU and Mississippi are definitely talking.

Today started with a tweet from Mississippi AD Pete Boone:

Mississippi's currently scheduled opener has them hosting Boise State.  Earlier in the week, @BYUdeepthrowt, someone who has been accurate in all leaking news since BYU's independence began, tweeted this in response to a question asking about the delay in announcing BYU's final 2011 matchups:

If a BYU and Ole Miss matchup were to occur, Mississippi would have to cancel, or at least delay, their matchup with Boise State.  This might be where Ole Miss AD Pete Boone's second tweet of the day comes in:

What might those loose ends be?  Securing Boise State a suitable alternative, of course, which is rumored to be a matchup with Georgia in Atlanta.  All Georgia's AD had to say was, "I just can't comment."

While it seems there is plenty of work to finalize it, again, our source confirms that BYU and Mississippi are talking, which then lends merit to the Boise State and Georgia rumors as well.
