The Pacific 12 Conference released its schedule for the upcoming 2011 season.
Here is the Pac-12 schedule for the Utah Utes:
9/10 - @ USC
10/8 - vs Washington
10/22 - @ California
10/29 - vs Oregon State
11/5 - vs Arizona
11/12 - vs UCLA
11/19 - @ Washington State
11/26 - vs Colorado
The Utes also have out-of-conference road games scheduled against BYU and Pittsburgh. Could the Utes have the toughest schedule in the nation next season?

I dunno, Washington has a pretty harsh slate too:
Sept. 3 --- Eastern Washington
Sept. 10 --- Hawaii
Sept. 17 --- at Nebraska
Sept. 24 --- Cal
Oct. 1 --- at Utah
Oct. 8 --- BYE
Oct. 15 --- Colorado
Oct. 22 --- at Stanford
Oct. 29 --- Arizona
Nov. 5 --- Oregon
Nov. 12 --- at USC
Nov. 19 --- at Oregon State
Nov. 26 --- Washington State
@ OSU, USC, Utah, Nebraska, Stanford, those last three are top ranked teams right now, USC is close, and next year with both Rogers brothers back OSU will probably be ranked.
Then at home you've got Oregon, Arizona, two top notch teams, one is the best in the country right now. Hawaii is also playing great football.
Thanks for the comment David. Washington's schedule is solid. Trips to Nebraksa, Stanford, USC, Utah, and Oregon State are going to test Sark's boys mettle. I still give Utah a slight advantage. They have to travel to BYU, who while down this season had been ranked in the Top 25 the past four seasons. Hawaii has historically played poorly away from the Islands.
No way Utah's schedule is even close to Washington's. The two toughest Pac 12 schools will likely be Oregon and Stanford and Utah plays neither next year. BYU may be better next year, but they won't be anywhere near Stanford and Oregon. Plus we play at Nebraska....much tougher than at Pitt.
Not saying Utah's schedule isn't tough, but not #1 in the nation tough. It probably just seems that way because Utah isn't used to having more than 2 or 3 tough games a season.
Peter, with the emergence of Oregon as a national power and the return of Andrew Luck, Washington now has the tougher schedule. UW also has the added measure of 5 tough road games. With Pitt and BYU down this season, we aren't sure what we will get out those squads next year. However, your assertion that our comment regarding Utah's SOS is somehow connected to not understanding football outside non-AQ land is disingenuous. We never argue that MWC squads have = SOS w/ BCS teams.
