John: So what are we to make of the various design templates? The red jersey, with the Northwestern-style template, wouldn't be all that bad if they didn't wear it with those ugly red pants on that ugly red field. And I thought Boise State
Brett: I am loving most of the helmets in the Big Sky. EWU has another unique logo that works well on a helmet. Not really digging the home uniforms, especially the all-reds on the all-red turf. It’s a nightmare. I really like the look of the black pants on the road. The road sets are all decent, minus a slightly-strange side panel stripe arrangement. Not loving the monochrome looks at home.

I am not a big fan of our Red on Red look but the all Blacks at home is sharp. On the road, I am a fan of the whites with black pants. The EWU helmet is the best in college football in my opinion.
The Red on Red field is hideous but glad to see EWU producing a strong program. Looking forward to seeing EWU in Washington Griz stadium this year.
The helmet and logo are awesome but I agree the all red is too much. The all white on the road looks awesome. I like the piping on the white jersey but not on the black or red. The white over red on the road is sweet too.
Not digging the away jerseys so much but they look better with red pants. Their old away jerseys (think the red home jersey but reversed) looked much better IMO. The red on red field looks sharp in person but the black on red looks much better. I agree with Anonymous - the helmet is among the best in college football. In person it has a killer metalic red that doesnt show up as well in pictures.
Not sure why John gave the helmet a C. Frankly, I think it is one of the better helmet designs in all of football... not too gimmicky, but very striking.
And I like the all-reds. Maybe is is a little soccer-esque, but it's like sensory overload in red... which I think is the intended goal.
An "F" for the red on red? Not sure about all that...the three different uniforms make for some interesting combinations. I actually prefer the black on black look for home games on the red turf, but the red isn't that bad. For the away uniform, I am partial to the black pants with the white jersey, although I prefer the older white jersey than the 2010 version. Also, agree that the red metallic helmet with Eagle logo is amongst the best in college football. Overall, the uni's are far better than the C average that's big given on this blog.
I too was curious about the lack of enthusiasm about what I consider one of the best helmet in football and certainly the Big Sky so I looked at some of the other grades/comments given to Big Sky and PAC 12 teams and realized that these graders gave higher ones to Weber State's mess and raved about Montana States dull M ... so I decided that they had some agenda or were really stuck on certain aspects of uniforms/helmets. There's certainly a theme to their preferences (John hates stripes...) and that's really what this is all about - everyone has their own preferences and these guys are no more expert than the next.
