John: As much as I'd love to give bonus points to Sac State for not going monocrhome at home like so many other Big Sky teams, any goodwill they bought by wearing white pants is destroyed by yet another awful Nike template. I realize that small school aren't going to get the Oregon treatment from Phil Knight, but you don't have to look like you picked your uniforms out of a catalog either, do you? The diamond box on the side panel and the fat stripe that fades to piping just is not a good look. For anyone. As for the helmet, it's not terrible, but there's a lot of room for improvement. The first thing it makes me think of is the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL. Not terrible, but not great either.

That is the first time I have heard lucky and Karl Benson in the same sentence. Please take Sac State off our hands WAC, the Big Sky will be better with out them. Pretty good uniforms from Sac.
Sac State is switching to Adidas uniforms in 2011...so rating these uniforms is kind of a waste of time, wouldn't you agree?
The monochrome BS has got old, I'm sorry. I understand uniform preference is entirely bias and subjective yet to deduct uniforms based on whether or not they are all one color is ridiculous. Some of the better uniforms, especially in the opinion of recruits which matters the most, are all one color. So to keep harping on the monochrome criteria is so idiotic it just makes me upset. Get new "uniform judges".

Anonymous 2: There were a number of FBS/FCS squads with uniform changes on the way in 2011. This series was simply a way to pass the time during the offseason.

To allow yourself to become 'upset' over our consistent harping on something you disagree with says more about you than it does about us. I like them, its nice to see something thats not same old same old, without being ridiculous like Oregon.
Yes the side sriping isn't the usual straight lines, but you know what, I think thats great! Be a little different, as long as the set works together as a whole, which in the case of SacState it does.
I love that you guys did this uniform review series, but I really get the feeling that for some of you, especially John, you have a very narrow window of what you consider acceptable and anything that strays from the tried and true gets the low grades. I agree not every crazy new combo works, but we should give credit when they do, and SacStates uniforms are clean, consistent and good looking IMO.
I can agree with you on that David, which is why I didn't kill Sac State too much. It's a generic template, but it looks relatively clean. It's just a touch better than a C average in my opinion.
